Pray for Social Media - Social media can serve as a powerful tool for enhancing the understanding of different religions, building the bonds of a religious community or a divisive influence.  Social media is a reflection of everyday life. Panelists will discuss how social media and faith are being integrated by discussing issues such as:

What does your congregation do with social media and what does it hope to accomplish?

Were there any roadblocks?  Did you have to "sell" any internal audiences on the use of these tools?

What tools are you using and which have been most successful?

Do you use social media to communicate directly with your community? If so, how?

Panelists include:

Josh Trevino is a member of the Parish Council of St. Anna Greek Orthodox Church (saintanna.org) . He is president of Trevino Strategies and Media.

Robert Mees is the Director of Evangelism for Sierra Baptist Church. His 30 year career has given him the opportunity to work with companies like Chevron, Amgen and Sutter Health, and organizations like the California State Parks Foundation and the California Southern Baptist Convention. Over the years, he has also created a toolbox he calls "Simple Evangelism" that transforms traditional business development tools, and social media platforms, into a contemporary outreach engine for churches.
